OpenShot Video Editor update adds new 3D text animation
The OpenShot project has released version 1.4.1 of its open source video editor for Linux. According to its developers, the update was originally intended to be "a quick and simple bug fix release" but later grew to be "more full-featured".
OpenShot 1.4.1 includes a new wire-frame 3D text animation as well as additional animation presets. Users can now select one of four gold titles to add to their videos; the developers note that these are a circular gradient rather than a solid colour, adding that the look is "very popular with movie trailers and video game trailers".
