OpenShot Video Editor 1.3.0 released
The OpenShot Video Editor GUI.
After five months of work, the developers of the OpenShot Video Editor have announced the release of version 1.3.0. OpenShot is an open source, non-linear, timeline based video editor for Linux-based operating systems.
The new version is claimed to have improvements in performance, stability and usability; it has the ability to add multiple clips to a timeline in one step, many new effects and filters and automatic detection of image sequences. More information on OpenShot features can be found on the OpenShot Features web page. A full list of the 48 bug fixes is available from the OpenShot page on Launchpad.net.
OpenShot 1.3.0 is available for download as a LiveDVD image, a PPA suitable for Ubuntu 9.10 and above; as an installer with a choice of 32- or 64-bit CPUs and various versions of Ubuntu or Fedora OS; and, as a build Wizard for Debian and Ubuntu that downloads the latest source and as a source code tarball. OpenShot is distributed under the GPLv3.
