OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 RC2 released

OpenOffice The OpenOffice developers have announced the availability of the second release candidate (RC2) of version 3.1.1 of their free open source office suite. OpenOffice 3.1.1 RC2 addresses several bugs that were found in the previous RC1 development release.

The developers note that the release is only intended for testing and not for production use. Users are encouraged to report any bugs, issues or errors that they experience. According to the current release schedule, the final version of OpenOffice 3.1.1 is expected to be available on the 27th of August.

More details about the release can be found in the release notes. OpenOffice 3.1.1 RC2 is available to download for Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac OS X. OpenOffice is released under version 3 of the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPLv3).
