Since its launch only a week ago it has been claimed that the Phoronix Openbenchmarking.org site has gathered over 37,000 benchmark results.

According to a Slashdot post the majority of these results are for systems running Linux, although there are some Mac OS X results too.

Phoronix, a web site for Linux hardware reviews, open-source news and Linux benchmarks, recently released the Phoronix Test Suite version 3.0 and at the same time launched the OpenBenchmarking.org site, a web site that provides various test suites and profiles and maintains a database of the results.

Originally developed for automated Linux testing, the Phoronix Test Suite now supports Linux, OpenSolaris, Apple Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, and BSD operating systems.

The Phoronix developers say that they will soon release Phoronix Test Suite 3.0.1 and ask for feature requests and feedback on OpenBenchmarking.org and Phoronix Test Suite 3.0-Iveland via the forums or by email. OpenBenchmarking.org is also now on Twitter.
