OXtender for Thunderbird is an add-on for Mozilla's Thunderbird email client that provides user information stored on an Open-Xchange Server. With the add-on, Thunderbird users can access several calendar features, such as appointments in personal and public calendars, recurring appointments and appointment groups and resources. Contacts synchronisation is also supported and includes personal folders and global address books. A full list of features is available on the project's website.

OXtender is available to download and is released under version 2.0 of the GNU General Public License (GPLv2). An Installation Guide is also provided. Users interested in the latest updates can follow the project on Twitter. The plug-in is sponsored by Fusionworkx, a German software development company.
