The developers of the OXID eShop e-commerce web platform have opened the OXID eXchange to bring extension developers and buyers together. The eXchange offers modules divided into categories such as customer relationship, data migration, enterprise resource planning, language modules and themes.

Users can browse modules, purchase paid for extensions, download, install and rate them. The store offers extensions for all three variants of the e-commerce suite: Enterprise Edition (EE), Professional Edition (PE) and the Community Edition, the latter of which was released under the GPL3 last autumn. For developers, during the beta phase, sales through OXID eXchange will be commission free. After June 30th, OXID will then charge according to its price list
