Mozilla Add-on Mascot Mozilla's Jetpack team has released version 1.3 of the Add-on SDK, formerly known as Jetpack, for the open source Firefox web browser. According to the developers, the new release now officially supports version 2.7 of the Python programming language and brings "loads of changes and additions" to the Add-on SDK documentation.

The new version also addresses three major bugs found in the previous release. These include an issue that prevented panel-based content scripts from working after reloading or changing location, as well as a bug that caused it to fail to find 64-bit Python on 64-bit Windows systems.

More details about the update, including a list of known issues, can be found in the release notes. Version 1.3 of the Add-on SDK is available to downloadDirect download from the project's site.
