Firefox Home Logo Originally announced in late May, Mozilla's Firefox Home application for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices is now officially available to download following its addition to Apple's iTunes App Store as an approved app. The free app, which was submitted to Apple for approval at the end of June, provides a read only view of Firefox Sync, formerly known as Mozilla Labs Weave project.

Firefox Home allows users to see their Firefox bookmarks, history and open tabs from their most recent browser session on the desktop. The Firefox Home app also incorporates a version of Firefox's "Awesome Bar" for fast web site look up.

While the application itself isn't a browser, users can open their tabs or bookmarks using the mobile version of Safari or share them via email. Firefox Home is part of a broader effort by Mozilla to enable access to Mozilla's synchronisation services on platforms where it's not possible to provide a full browser experience.

More details about Firefox Home are available on the project's wiki page and a brief demonstration video is provided on YouTube. Firefox Home is available to download (iTunes link) for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices running version 3.1 of Apple's iOS or later.
