Mozilla releases Fennec 1.0 Beta 3 for Maemo

Fennec 1.0 beta 3, running on Mac OS X with tabbed browsing windows. The Mozilla developers have announced the availability of the third beta of their Fennec mobile web browser for Nokia's N800 and N810 Internet Tablets running OS2008 ("Maemo"). As with previous releases, the third beta is intended to get feedback from users, testers and Web developers

The beta 3 release features several noticeable performance improvements, including faster scrolling, zooming support, kinetic panning with directional looking, and a "major visual theme refresh". In addition to numerous bug fixes, the development release now supports new tile caching abilities, allowing more of the page to be saved as users pan around, and the ability to scroll iframes.

More details about the release can be found in the developer release notes. Fennec 1.0 beta 3 is available to download for the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet running OS2008. Alternatively users can also install a version of Fennec to try on their PC's under Windows, Mac OS X or Linux.
