MeeGo Logo The MeeGo developers have announced that their inaugural MeeGo Conference will take place from the 15th to the 17th of November, 2010 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. MeeGo, a Linux-based operating system for mobile devices, is the result of the February decision to merge Intel's Moblin platform and Nokia's Maemo platform under the aegis of the Linux Foundation.

The three day event, aimed at developers, OEMs, OSVs and project contributors, will include several talks, papers and tutorials on a number of MeeGo topics, such as application development, MeeGo for N900 and N8x0 owners, distribution, testing and the MeeGo platform. The final "unconference" day of the event will include ad hoc sessions on topics that didn't make it into previous days and various Birds of a Feather (BOF) discussions and lightning talks.

More details about the conference can be found on the MeeGo Conference 2010 wiki. The conference organisers are currently looking for sponsors. Registration and the call for papers will reportedly be "opening up soon".
