Mayhem joins new Innovators Gallery at the Outercurve Foundation
The Outercurve Foundation has announced that the Mayhem project has joined their newly-created Innovators Gallery.
Mayhem is a scripting system for automating actions based on user-defined events and triggers. According to Microsoft, the open source tool is aimed at non-programmers and has a "near-zero learning curve". Mayhem runs on Windows and can be downloaded from the program's web site; it is licensed under the Microsoft Public License.
Microsoft has contributed Mayhem as the first project in Outercurve's new Innovators Gallery; the gallery has been set up by the foundation's Board of Directors to "host open source projects based on innovative and leading edge technologies". The foundation is also sponsoring a contest that invites developers to submit add-ons that enable Mayhem to work with more devices and software.
