Artifactory - JFrog's Artifactory (sic) is a Maven repository manager for developers who want better control of their Maven artefact repositories. Artifactory 2.0 has just been released, which has LDAP directory server integration, MySQL support, the ability to run as a Windows service and many other new features.

Maven users are recommended to manage their own local, or proxy, repository. This will ensure that their build processes are not affected by problems with remote repositories and help reduce consumption of the users internet connectivity. A local repository also allows local developers to target their build artefacts at a local destination, allowing for better internal reuse.

Artifactory is available under the Apache 2.0 licence and Jfrog offer commercial support for the application.
