Mandriva joins ARM Connected Community
French Linux developer and distributor Mandriva, formerly known as Mandrakesoft, has joined the ARM Connected Community. The partner network now consists of more than 675 companies that offer solutions based on ARM processor technology.
According to the company, benefits of joining the ARM Connected Community include resources which will help Mandriva market and deploy new solutions, allowing the company to get ARM-based solutions to market faster. Anne Nicolas-Velu, Vice-President Engineering for Mandriva, said that, "ARM processors play a key role in the embedded processor arena, and they are a perfect match for Mandriva Linux. Through the ARM Connected Community, we gain additional support, allowing us to serve our customers even more effectively.”
A full list of ARM Connected Community Members, including Mandriva, is available on the ARM website. ARM manufactures a range of IC products including multimedia chips, graphics chips and microprocessors and micro-controllers used in mobile and embedded applications.
