Mandriva has released Powerpack 2011, a commercially enhanced version of the company's Mandriva Linux distribution. The system comes with the Linux kernel 2.6.39 and uses KDE 4.6.5 as the default desktop.

Powerpack 2011 is the most complete Mandriva edition; it comes with proprietary drivers and a large selection of proprietary packages installed by default. Packages include the Fluendo DVD player for playing CSS-encrypted DVDs, various audio and video codecs, Adobe Reader, Flash Player and Opera web browser. Proprietary drivers for graphics cards from NVIDIA and AMD are included as standard.

Mandriva Powerpack 2011 offers a smart desktop which enables dynamic access to files by labelling and grading photos, documents, emails and more, while keeping personal data safe. It introduces Ginkgo, the new graphical interface for managing data semantics, which creates and explores links between the user's personal data. Built-in parental control tools for managing the web sites and applications used by children are included. A large number of applications, including LibreOffice, Firefox, the Clementine music player and various educational software titles, are also available. Mandriva Powerpack 2011 is compatible with many of the latest, and the oldest, hardware platforms, including netbooks. It also includes 3 months' web support .

Mandriva Linux Powerpack 2011 can be purchased for €49. The Powerpack subscription, which gives two years' Powerpack download access (two releases + updates), is available for €78, and €102 for 3 years.
