Mandriva Enterprise Server 5.2 released
Mandriva has announced the release of the second point update to version 5 of its Enterprise Server commercial Linux distribution. Mandriva Enterprise Server 5.2 includes all of the distribution's previous updates and several improvements.
According to the French firm, the latest maintenance update features a broader set of drivers that support more devices during the installation process, as well as version 2.6.33.7 of the Linux kernel. GUID Partition Table (GPT) support has also been added to the installer. Package updates include version 1.16 of the BusyBox tool collection, XZ Utils 5.0.0 and version 0.9.30 of the uClibc C library. Available as a download, Mandriva Enterprise Server 5.2 starts at €299 (£260) with one year of maintenance – a box of 2 DVDs costs an additional €20.

The latest stable release of the company's desktop Linux operating system is Mandriva Linux 2010.2. Mandriva Linux 2011 is currently in development and is scheduled to arrive on 13 June 2011.
