Lucasarts COO joins Red Hat board

Red Hat has announced Micheline Chau, President and COO of LucasFilm Ltd and Jeff Clarke, President and CEO of TravelPort, have joined its board of directors. The appointments, according to the enterprise Linux vendor, are aimed at expanding Red Hat's ability to engage with the media and travel industries.

LucasFilm Ltd is the umbrella company for George Lucas' projects which handles film production, and has subsidiaries such as Industrial Light and Magic, LucasFilm Animation, LucasArts Entertainment and SkyWalker Sound. James M. Whitehurst, Chief Executive Officer of Red Hat said "In their current leadership positions in the media and travel industry, they will bring a broad perspective of managing technology innovation in rapidly evolving businesses."
