LinuxCon North America 2011: Call For Participation announced

LinuxCon NA 2011 The Linux Foundation has announced that the Call For Participation (CFP) deadline for LinuxCon 2011 will be 22 April. Registration for the non-profit organisation's annual event, which will take place from 17 to 19 August 2011 at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver, Canada, is now open.

Suggested topics for the North American (NA) technical conference include Linux on mobile devices, open source compliance, cloud computing, optimising Linux in enterprise environments, the Linux kernel, virtualisation and file systems, as well as legal issues facing Linux and open source. Submissions can be either 45 minute presentations or panel discussions, or 1 hour technical tutorials – 1 hour Birds of a Feather (BoFs) sessions will also be accepted. Accepted speakers will be notified on 2 May.

Those interested in attending the conference are asked to register as soon as possible. Standard registration costs $500 through 15 June; an early bird discount is available until the end of March. Late registration is $600 and student registration with a valid student ID is $100.
