The Linux from Scratch project has released version 6.7 of its do-it-yourself Linux guide which covers how one can build one's own Linux distribution by hand from the source code. The new version takes account of current system components such as the 2.6.35.4 Linux kernel, GCC 4.5.1 and glibc 2.12.1. The authors have also revised parts of the text to make the instructions easier to understand and to improve the flow of reading.

Linux From Scratch 6.7 is available to read online or can be downloadedPDF as a PDF document. The LFS guide is available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0 licence while the code contained within the guide is under an MIT licence.
