Linux Foundation launches Linux.com Store
The Linux Foundation has announced the launch of a new Linux.com online Store located at http://store.linux.com. The new online store features a number of Linux-related items, including T-shirts, mugs, hats and stickers. Jennifer Cloer, Communications Director for The Linux Foundation, said that, "Merchandise with phrases like "Let's Have Code Sex," "FSK the Establishment," and "Fork You" are part of an exclusive new line of geek apparel available from this new online storefront sponsored by The Linux Foundation."
The foundation has also announced the start of its Linux.com T-shirt Design Contest in which community members can submit Linux-related T-shirt designs. Submissions are due by the 11th of April and the top five designs will be presented on the site to be voted on by the Linux.com community until the 6th of June, 2010. The winning designer will receive a free trip to attend LinuxCon Boston 2010 in August and the winning design will be made available for purchase on the Linux.com Store.
According to The Linux Foundation, all revenue generated from the store will go towards foundation activities, events and other initiatives.
