The Linux Foundation has announced it is holding its first End User Collaboration Summit in New York on October 13th and 14th. The foundation regularly holds Kernel Summits where the Linux kernel developers assemble to plan for future Linux development. The new event is aimed at bringing developers and what the foundation call "high performance" Linux users together to provide input for future Linux development.

The program of events has now been published with the speaker list. The Summit is by invitation only; the Linux Foundation has a registration form where interested users can apply to receive an invitation. Users who make a request will be informed within 14 business days if they have been successful.
