Linux 3.4 arrives

Kernel Log penguin Linux 3.4 has been released by Linus Torvalds, two months after he released Linux 3.3. The new release has a long list of improvements to the graphic drivers including support for the fledgling GeForce GTX 680 from NVIDIA and AMD's graphics core in the recently released Trinity processors.

The new x32 ABI is designed to make the benefits of 64-bit x86 CPUs available while avoiding the overhead of 64-bit code, something of particular interest for embedded processors. Yama, a security technology which denies processes a view of the memory of other processes, is also new.
