Linpus joins Linux Foundation

Linpus Logo Linpus Technologies, creators of the Linpus Linux Lite distribution, is joining the Linux Foundation and plans to work on MeeGo. Linpus say that as they have in the past worked with many OEMs supplying Linux distributions, for example, with Acer for the Aspire One. Linpus Linux Lite is a Fedora based distribution developed by Linpus in Taiwan and China.

The company has also worked with Intel developing Moblin based products. "Linux has very clear advantages in the mobile computing market of the future" said Rita Jing, Linpus VP of sales, "We're excited to be part of the community to prepare it for its mass adoption in this space".
