LibreOffice extensions and templates site now live

LibreOffice logo Following a six-week public beta, The Document Foundation (TDF) has announced that the project's new extensions and templates repositories for LibreOffice are now online. In a post on the TDF blog, Florian Effenberger, a member of the Foundation's Board of Directors, says that the sites are just "one of the many community efforts at the LibreOffice project", adding that the repositories will "benefit of millions of LibreOffice and free office users worldwide".

The repositories include only extensions and templates made available under free software licences and the listings are reviewed by community volunteers. Based on Plone, the repositories for extensions and templates for the open source office suite allow users to search using keywords. Users can sort results by rating, the number of downloads, newest or those that have been recently added.

The extensions and templates repositories can be found at extensions.libreoffice.org and templates.libreoffice.org respectively.
