Kolab Server 2.3.0 released
The Kolab developers have released version 2.3.0 of their groupware server. It contains various changes that were developed over the past two years and for the first time have now been combined in a version which has been marked as stable. New additions include Z-push synchronisation, a feature that transmits updates to mobile devices.
The developers of the Swiss-based company say they have also reworked the web interface for administrators, upgraded many core components and introduced the possibility to have multiple accounts with the same name; numerous bugs have reportedly also been fixed. A detailed overview of all the changes is available in the release notes. Certain changes to the LDAP code make it necessary to adapt configurations when upgrading, as explained in the Kolab Server install and upgrade information.
