Jython 2.5.1 addresses potential data loss issue
Developer Frank Wierzbicki has announced the availability of version 2.5.1 of Jython, which addresses a potential data loss bug when writing files in append mode. In addition to addressing a number of smaller bugs, the first point update to the 2.5 branch of Jython, the variant of the Python language which runs on the Java virtual machine, fixes "major errors" when using coroutines and relative imports.
More details about the release can be found in the NEWS file. Jython 2.5.1 is available to download (direct download) and is released under version 2 of the Python Software Foundation License. Installation instructions are provided.
