Jaspersoft BI Suite 4.2 includes support for mobile devices

Jaspersoft has announced the release of version 4.2 of its business intelligence (BI) suite. According to the company, Jaspersoft 4.2 includes what it calls the industry's first open source mobile BI iOS software development kit (SDK) that allows users to embed or build native applications for the iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad using new APIs and client tools. Version 4.2 also includes a BI environment with support for touch-screens such as that on the iPad which can be accessed using the mobile web browser.

Jaspersoft's BI suite is structured as an open core project. Its basic components are available as open source code (LGPL) in community versions, but the complete suite with additional features is only available as a commercial product. A table compares the various editions.
