The JBoss team has released version 6 of its Java application server of the same name. JBoss 6 supports the majority of features introduced with Java EE 6, for example, the Java Persistence API (JPA 2), Bean Validation, Context and Dependency Injection (CDI), Enterprise Java Beans (EJB 3.1), Servlets 3.0 and Java Server Faces (JSF 2.0).

The JBoss developers' next target is to complete version 3.0 of the Seam RIA framework. With the release of Java 7, scheduled for July 2011, an appropriately adapted version 7 of JBoss will probably also be released.
