The JBoss team has released version 3.0 of the open source tool kit, JBoss Tools. The tools include support for Hibernate, JBoss AS, Drools, jBPM, JSF, (X)HTML, Seam, JBoss ESB, and JBoss Portal. The new release requires Eclipse 3.4 and contains over 250 fixes for issues in its predecessor, in addition to several new features.

New features in the collection include a Seam pages.xml editor, Hibernate runtime support in Eclipse JPA projects (Java Persistence API), Hibernate Birt integration, ESB support in jBPM graphical editor and a JMX perspective. The Drools engine is now once again integrated in the release. The developers recommend that users do not update from Eclipse 3.3 to 3.4 via the Eclipse update site, but rather suggest doing a fresh install.

JBoss Tools 3.0 is available for download now and installation instructions and guides are provided.
