JBoss No1 in OpenLogic's top 5 supported packages

OpenLogic has released its "momentum stats" for 2009, a top 5 list of open source packages which the company has sold the most support for over the year. In 2009, OpenLogic says JBoss took top spot in the chart, pushing 2008's top package – TomCat, down to number two. Apache HTTP server and MySQL take the third and fifth positions. At number 4, Hibernate is a new entry in the chart, pushing PostgreSQL support out of the top 5.

OpenLogic offers commercial support for over 500 open source packages and annually reports on the top 5 projects to give an estimate of momentum in commercial businesses of the various projects. Sixty per cent of OpenLogic's customer base are Global 2000 companies.
