Following a public preview last month, Czech software forge JetBrains has announced the release of version 10 of its IntelliJ IDEA Java development environment. Discussing the release, IntelliJ IDEA project lead Max Shafirov said, "During the last few years we've seen a boom of new cool technologies that every developer wanted to use," adding, "And IntelliJ IDEA has been on the cutting-edge, supporting them all".
The latest version of the IDE for JVM-based and polyglot development, features support for a variety of technologies and frameworks, including Spring, GWT, Groovy / Grails and Flex / ActionScript, and adds support for Spring Roo, AspectJ and ColdFusion. The user interface and user experience have both received "significant enhancements" in both the editor, as well as the IDE itself.

Maven integration has been updated to include support for Maven 3 and POM re-factorings.
