Red Hat's Enterprise Linux 5.2 has been certified by the US Department of Defense as IPV6 compliant. The certification was made by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) who are testing for compliance with the Department of Defense's own "IPV6 capable" definition.

RHEL 5.2 joins Microsoft's Windows Vista, Novell's SuSE Enterpise Linux 10 (with service pack 2) and Sun Microsystem's Solaris 10 on the list of certified client operating systems. All the listed operating systems support IKEv1, but only SuSE and RHEL have IKEv2 support.
