KDE akademy The KDE team has issued its "Call for Hosts" to find a suitable location for the 2012 Akademy developer conference. The location should be in Europe and close to an international airport. Prospective hosts must be able to provide a large lecture room that fits at least the 400 expected participants, a smaller lecture room and further workshop rooms, as well as reliable, high-speed internet access.

Other important aspects mentioned by the organisers include reasonably priced accommodation close to the venue and potential destinations for excursions outside of the conference. Prospective hosts should submit their applications by 1 October. Further information can be found in a Call for HostsPDF document online.
