Horde Groupware 4.0 released

Horde The Horde Project has released version 4.0 of its web-based Groupware. According to the development team, Horde Groupware 4.0 has been "completely refactored for PHP 5" and features a new installation process using the PEAR installer, as well as a simplified configuration process. The software no longer uses frames, and the calendar includes a new AJAX front-end with integrated tasks support. CalDAV client support has also been added.

The Horde Team has also published version 4.0 of the Webmail Edition, which extends the Horde Groupware with the email applications IMP and Ingo. Mail in Horde Groupware Webmail Edition 4.0 offers a new mobile front-end, improved AJAX support and a completely re-written IMAP library "with broad RFC support and huge performance improvements".
