Android Google has just published a list of its favourite tips and tricks for its open source Android mobile operating system. The list features a variety of helpful hints for getting the most out of Android devices, as well as a number of suggested applications and games.

Many of the tips and tricks, however, only apply to devices running Android 2.3 "Gingerbread", the latest version of the mobile OS announced earlier this month. To date, the Nexus S is the only device that currently ships with Gingerbread. In a post on Twitter, Google has confirmed that its Nexus One smartphone will be receiving an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade to Android 2.3 "in the coming weeks". Other devices, such as the HTC Desire HD, are expected to follow in the coming weeks and months.

The full list of tips and tricks can be found in a post on the Official Google Blog by Senior VP of Product Management, Jonathan Rosenberg.
