According to TechRadar, the GP2X Wiz open source hand held game console from GamePark Holdings will be getting it's own gaming app store this summer. The GP2X Wiz is a Linux based gaming system with a 533Mhz ARM processor, a 3D OpenGL accelerator, 1GB of internal memory, 64MB of RAM and an OLED touch screen. The device lets users download and play games, emulators, music and movies.

A software development kit (SDK) is currently in development by GamePark and is expected to be released soon. The upcoming open source app store will be available online and with the optional Wi-Fi adaptor, will even be directly accessible via the GP2X Wiz.

The GP2X Wiz is expected to start shipping by the end of May and is available for £129.99 from GBAX.
