GNOME Foundation releases first quarterly report
The GNOME Foundation, which coordinates development of the GNOME platform, has announced the release of its first quarterly report
. The Q2 2009 Quarterly report spans June, July and August and covers several topics, including the projects migration to the Git version control systems (VCS).
In the report Release Team manager Vincent Untz discusses plans for the upcoming "evolutionary" 2.30/3.0 release of the desktop environment and Andre Klapper from the Bugsquad Team expands on several GNOME Bugzilla statistics, including the 12,549 bugs that the team closed in Q2. Other topics discussed in the report include plans for a GNOME store and the $12,392 raised through the Friends of GNOME program which lets individuals "Adopt a hacker" by donating to the GNOME Foundation.
Additional information from various GNOME teams, such as the Web Team (Lucas Rocha), the Documentation Team (Shaun McCance) and the Art Team (Andreas Nilsson), is also provided.
