GNOME 3.4 released

GNOME logo The GNOME Project has published version 3.4 of its Linux and Unix desktop environment. The second major update to GNOME 3 brings a several new features and includes a large number of small improvements in different areas. The Epiphany browser has been renamed, and its user interface has been cleaned up and pruned to just the essential features.

Other changes include improvements to Shell Extension integration, a new virtual machine and remote access application, and the addition of support for Facebook and Windows Live in GNOME Online Accounts. A number of the included applications, such as the Palimpsest disk management application which been reborn as Disks, have also received a facelift and new features.
