GNOME logo The GNOME developers have announced GNOME 3.2.1, the first bug fix release for GNOME 3.2 which was released at the end of September. The release includes minor changes, such as fixing crashes in empathy, cogl, gnome-settings-daemon and other components, updating translations and other small enhancements. A detailed list of the changes in the GNOME core and applications is available.

The developers are, up until the 24 October, taking proposals for new features for the unstable development branch GNOME 3.3, which will be developed over the coming months and will become GNOME 3.4 around March 2012 according to current plans. A further bug fix release of GNOME 3.2, 3.2.2, is scheduled for mid-November.

Source code for the components of GNOME 3.2.1 is available (core, apps), though most users will see the changes as updates to their Linux distributions.
