The Spanish company Fluendo has announced the 10th release of its multimedia plug-ins for GNU/Linux. The Codec Pack is built on the open source GStreamer multimedia framework and Fluendo are sponsors of the GStreamer project.

According to Fluendo, the latest release of the Codec Pack features significant improvements in the Windows Media codecs that enhance support of MSB Streaming, generating a GstIndex while demuxing and improve seeking functions. Other notable improvements include updates and enhancements to the MPEG pack and increased video fluidity for MPEG2.

The Complete Set of Playback Plug-ins is available to download for 32 and 64-bit Linux systems and costs €28.00 (£24.86). The company also sells individual codecs and decoders and a DVD player for Linux.
