The CodePlex Foundation has created it's first gallery for open source projects. The ASP.NET open source gallery is now home to open source projects which run on Microsoft's ASP.NET web technology. The concept of galleries as a method of organising projects was recently introduced by Sam Ramji, current president of the Foundation.

The first project to be placed in the gallery is the ASP.NET Ajax Library, a BSD licensed merger of ASP.NET Ajax and Ajax Control Toolkit. The library works with technologies such as ASP.NET, PHP or Rails to help build browser based database applications. Ramji says the appearance of the first gallery showed good progress "against our 100 days goals". Future development of the project will take place under the guidance of the Foundation with Miguel de Icaza as the gallery mentor.
