Firefox.png The first alpha of Firefox 3.6, codenamed "Namoroka", has been made available to download. This version of 3.6, which should appear in final form in 2010, is built on a pre-release version of the new Gecko engine 1.9.2 and is aimed primarily at developers and testers. The changes in this version are quite detailed, but under the UI, which will be refreshed later.

In alpha 1, the handling of input focus has been moved to a new model, TraceMonkey performance increased and the startup time and responsiveness has been improved. A full list of the changes can be found on the Bugzilla tracker. Download links for the Windows, Mac OS X and Linux versions of Namoroka are also available.
