The next version of Firefox, following the upcoming 3.5 "Shiretoko" release, will be code named "Namoroka" and is expected to be released in early 2010. According to a post on the Mozilla Wiki, the Namoroka version number has tentatively been set to "3.6", but as the post explains, at this stage this version number should not be considered final and Namoroka may also be refered to as Firefox.next. The focus of the release will be on performance, personalisation and customisation, task based navigation and web application support. Namoroka will be based on version 1.9.2 of Mozilla's upcoming Gecko layout engine, scheduled to be released in early 2010.

Meanwhile, the fourth beta of Firefox 3.5, previously dubbed version 3.1, is scheduled, barring any delays, to be released on the 14th of April and will address a number of remaining bugs.
