Firefox Creative Lead leaving Mozilla
Nearly two years after joining Mozilla, Firefox Creative Lead Aza Raskin has announced that he is leaving the non-profit organisation on the 1st of January to found a new start-up called Massive Health. In a post on his blog, Raskin says that, while "Firefox is a project you never want to leave, and Mozilla is a company of which dreams are made", he believes that "Health care needs to have its design Renaissance, where products and services are redesigned to be responsive to human needs and considerate of human frailties" and he thinks that Massive Health "can make that happen".
Previous to being appointed as Firefox Creative Lead, Raskin held the position of Head of User Experience at Mozilla Labs where he worked on a variety of projects, including Firefox Panorama, formerly called Tab Candy, Ubiquity and Jetpack. Before joining Mozilla in January of 2008, Raskin worked at Humanized, a software start-up which he sold to Mozilla.
Sutha Kamal, Raskin's colleague at Mozilla and former CTO at Humanized, is also resigning to co-found Massive Health.
