Mozilla has announced the availability of two new milestones for its Fennec mobile web browser. The second beta for Nokia's N810 Internet Tablets running OS2008 ("Maemo") and the second alpha for the Windows Mobile 6 platform, both include newly designed themes, built-in JavaScript error console support and improved add-on support. In addition to many usability fixes, the second alpha for Windows Mobile 6 includes improved panning performance and UI polish.

Both of the releases include several bug fixes and focus on performance and user experience improvements. The releases are intended for testing purposes only and to gather additional feedback from users. The developers also want to encourage add-on developers to port their existing add-ons and create new ones for the mobile browser. More details about the releases, including download information and known issues, can be found in the second beta and second alpha release notes.

Alternatively users can also install a version of Fennec to try on their PC's under Windows, Mac OS X or Linux. The developers encourage users to leave comments in the mobile newsgroup and to file bug reports via Bugzilla.
