Fedora has announced the Moksha Project, a new "platform for creating live collaborative web applications." The project is designed for web developers and is comprised of a set of Python and JavaScript API's including jQuery. According to the announcement, Moksha is to be a "unified framework build using the best available open source technologies." According to Fedora, "Moksha's base functionality is scheduled for completion by the beginning of February."

Fedora Community has also been announced and will be Fedora's first project to use the Moksha platform. Moksha will be used for the Fedora Community portal for collaboration between users and developers, to enhance communications. Fedora Community is similar to Canonical's Launchpad, which is set to be open sourced in the summer of this year. Launchpad is comprised of similar collaboration tools in addition to project hosting and bug tracking.
