EuroPython Logo This year's EuroPython event will take place from the 17th to the 24th of July in Birmingham, UK at the Birmingham Conservatoire. The event for the Python programming language community, including the Django, Zope and Plone communities, will include more than 100 talks, tutorials, sprints and social events. This year's keynote speakers include, for example, Python creator Guido van Rossum, Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth and Simon Willison, co-founder of the Django web framework.

The event has been split into three sections, the first of which will take place on the 17th and 18th of July and include tutorials focusing on Python training. The main conference will run from the 19th to the 22nd and will be followed by sprints on Friday the 23rd and Saturday the 24th.

The European Python conference organisers are currently seeking submissions from attendees for talks, papers and tutorials. The organisers are looking for proposals that cover all aspects of Python, from beginners to advanced levels, from applications and frameworks to community involvement. The deadline for this year's Call for Papers is the 30th of April, 2010.

Those interested in attending EuroPython 2010 are advised to register as soon as possible. An early bird discount is available until the 10th of May. Student and accepted speaker discounts are also available.
