EuroBSDCon 2009 in September
Between the 18th and 20th of September the U.K. Unix and Open Systems User Group (UKUUG) will be holding the EuroBSDCon 2009 in Cambridge. The conference is regarded as the annual meeting point for the European BSD community.
The conference runs over three days starting with a choice of three all day tutorials. Kirk McKusick's FreeBSD tutorial, for example, looks at FreeBSD from a file system and virtual memory angle. The other tutorials are on building networks with the Packet Filter (PF) (firewall) and an introduction and workshop on the stream control transmission protocol (SCTP).
The second and third days feature talks on various topics related to BSD Unix systems such as FreeBSD, NetBSD and PC-BSD. A BSD Certification examination will also be held by the BSD Certification Group (BSDCG).
