End of life for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1

Red Hat have advised that Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 2.1 will not be supported after the 31st of May, 2009. After that date all technical support services, bug fixes, enhancements and security errata updates will no longer be provided.

Ending support for RHEL 2.1 is in accordance with the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Errata Support Policy, as version 2.1 is at the end of its 7 year life-cycle. Users of RHEL 2.1 can migrate to version 3 (supported until October 2010), version 4 (supported until February 2012) or version 5 (supported until March 2014).
