The team behind the Eclipse development environment have released version 3.5.2 of the IDE. The new release is the second 'service release' of the Java development environment, which was made available to download in summer 2009 as part of the Galileo programme consisting of more than 30 Eclipse projects.

Version 3.6 of the IDE, codenamed Helios, is currently available as a fifth milestone build. Development work for e4, a community-driven version of the IDE which will be used to develop Eclipse 4, is being carried out in parallel to Helios development. A fourth milestone build of e4 version 1.0 was released on Saturday.

Eclipse is released under the Eclipse Public License.
