Compiere have made a cloudy version of its ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system available for running on Amazon's EC2, Elastic Compute Cloud, platform. The Compiere Cloud Edition builds on Compiere's professional edition of its open source platform. The Cloud Edition will be available as a subscription, which includes application support, service packs and access to upgrade tools. The company also offers separate implementations and integration support.

By moving to the cloud, Compiere believe customers will be able to make use of their ERP platform with lower up front costs and the ability to add capacity on demand, along with benefiting from reduced infrastructure costs. The ERP suite addresses business areas such as purchasing, sales, warehouse management, project management, financial accounting, supply chain management and e-commerce.
